WSCUC World Tour: An Effective Collaboration Strategy for Cross Department Involvement in Reaffirmation and Accreditation
Presentation 1 Description

Accreditation should be a university wide endeavor, but how do institutions make that happen effectively? Pepperdine successfully completed the Thematic Pathway to Reaffirmation process last year and the co-chairs of their WSCUC Steering Committee learned valuable strategies for engaging the various stakeholders across the university community. Join them for a practical conversation about one approach that worked for reaching “across the aisle” in academia. Welcome to the WSCUC World Tour!

San Francisco State University’s reaccreditation self-study and writing process took place during the heart of the pandemic, starting in 2020-21. We will share how we organized our process—from the steering committee to the writing groups, from gathering evidence to gathering feedback—to engage people from across campus in this work.
