April D. Marshall is originally from Louisville, Kentucky and a double alumna of the University of Louisville. Her doctorate is from New York University in Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature. She has been at Pepperdine University since 2003. Dr. Marshall is a professor of Hispanic Studies in the International Studies and Languages division at Seaver College. She is an active member of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). Her service to the college includes past roles as academic division chair and senior associate dean. Dr. Marshall also previously served as the external reviewer of the Modern Languages Program at Westmont College. She is currently co-chairing the WSCUC Steering Committee at Pepperdine. Dr. Marshall recently served as the faculty in residence at international programs with Pepperdine students in Washington DC, Jordan, and Spain.
