Key Ingredients in a Recipe for Enhancing Student Success: The Story of Cal State Monterey Bay’s Partnership with the National Institute of Student Success
Description
How can a university enhance student success in a manner that is efficacious and sustainable? Cal State Monterey Bay partnered with the National Institute of Student Success (NISS) who guided CSUMB through a Diagnostic process that identified key strengths and challenges that are impacting enrollment and graduation rates, and a Playbook process that details actions and national best practices to implement them within an institution's structures and resources. Attendees will learn (a) how their institutions can use data to identify challenges to student success, (b) how to interrogate the data through innovative lenses, and (c) how Cal State Monterey Bay is implementing research-based strategies designed to address its key challenges.
