This workshop will introduce attendees to the philosophy informing PLCs, their implementation in higher education, and how PLCs can encourage faculty engagement and why they are a necessary component of outreach in post-pandemic higher education. Through a series of small group exercises, attendees will explore the various elements needed to institute dynamic faculty PLCs and discuss how those fundamental building blocks can be adapted to promote the learning outcomes for students and faculty.

This presentation describes the innovative approaches to developing and implementing a robust longitudinal Interprofessional Education (IPE) plan at the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS). The structure of IPE activities, implementation, and assessment are purposefully planned and implemented to ensure students' high-quality, comprehensive, and sustainable educational outcomes. Learning activities for IPE are designed in a scaffolding manner, with students gradually demonstrating their understanding of IPE as they progress from a novice to a mastery level.
