Wayne Herman has been an academic administrator at Los Angeles Pacific University since August 2015, including more than four years in his current position as the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer and more than five years as the ALO. Prior to joining LAPU Herman served as the Chief Academic Officer at Cornerstone Institute in Cape Town, South Africa, where he also served as the ALO. His experience in accreditation has served him well as a peer reviewer for the WSCUC Substantive Change Committee since December 2019.
Herman earned a PhD in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and also spent nearly a decade (1992-2001) in IT consulting, primarily focused on database administration. This experience allows him to bring a strong evidence-based approach to decision making at LAPU and supports his research interests in assessment and faith integration in higher education.
