Expansive quantitative and qualitative data in the core curriculum program review at Saint Mary’s College of California illuminated bottlenecks for equitable student success. To improve educational effectiveness, we used disaggregated data, transparent and iterative communication, and systems thinking to revise the curriculum requirements, learning outcomes, and assessment infrastructure that center on equity and inclusion. We will share this process as well as strategic priority metrics we found useful for facilitating mission-centered, data-informed curricular decisions.
