The Canary Code model of radical inclusion is based on inclusion from the margin – an approach that goes beyond universal design by focusing on the most/multiply marginalized, often forgotten populations, and actively involving them in the design process. Rather than designing an educational experience for autistic or first-generation, ESL, and dyslexic students, inclusion from the margin invites them as co-designers. This presentation will discuss applications of the Canary Code to student and employee experience.
