Dr. Joanna Simpson is the Program Director for the teacher credentialing programs at United States University. She’s been in higher education for over fifteen years and was a high school English teacher in inner-city Phoenix for nearly ten years. Dr. Simpson earned her graduate degrees from Grand Canyon University in Teaching and Instructional Leadership. Her research focuses on gifted education, critical literacy, and educating underrepresented populations.  When Dr. Simpson is not working or writing, you can find her in her pool with her husband, daughters & dogs.
