Dr. Iorio earned a PhD in higher education with an emphasis on student success. His general research interests are in areas related to student and faculty development and success in higher education, and his scholarly activities have focused more specifically on issues related to success for historically underserved first-generation college student populations.
Additionally, Dr. Iorio serves on multiple committees at the department, school, and university levels.  Currently, Dr. Iorio serves as Past-Chair for the University Faculty Council where he continues to participate in faculty governance efforts.
Dr. Iorio also teaches across associate, bachelor, and master degree programs in the Department of Radiation Technology, and serves as the associate department chair.
