Notre Dame de Namur University transformed itself from a traditional, campus-based comprehensive institution to a primarily online university emphasizing graduate and undergraduate degree-completion programs. This presentation examines the strategic, operational, and cultural factors that enabled NDNU to achieve sustainability amid severe disruption. The merger of the College of Applied Science and Technology grew the College of Information Science to be the sixth largest college at the University of Arizona based on student enrollment. The merger prompted a review of infrastructure, incoming academic programs, and alignment with new strategic goals from new executive leadership in the context of an institutional financial crisis. The session will review strategic decisions made with a focus on lessons learned and planning.
