Bio
Dr. Sarah Sweitzer is serving as Dean at the Stockton Branch Campus of Stanislaus State.  She is generating transformation of the Stockton Branch Campus into an Anchor Institution.  She is a first-generation college student who has spent her career working to increase diversity in the healthcare, education, and human services professions by shaping universities into Anchor Institutions that serve as the hub to advocate for local health and education equity.  With over $30M in grant funding her work has supported and grown community engaged projects that include trauma informed systems training, community-based COVID-19 vaccination clinics, county opioid safety coalitions and harm reduction efforts, high school mentoring programs, youth participatory action research projects, programs to increase access to mental health services, high school and community college health career opportunity pipelines, and the development of a community health worker training program.  The focus of these collective impact projects has been integrating University faculty and student expertise and passion within community engaged initiatives.
