Dr. Wayne Herman has been an academic administrator at Los Angeles Pacific University since August 2015, including nearly seven years in his current position as the Vice President and Chief Academic Officer (CAO) and ALO. Before joining LAPU Herman served as the CAO and ALO at Cornerstone Institute in Cape Town, South Africa. He has also served as a WSCUC Substantive Change Committee member for nearly six years and led LAPU through initial accreditation in 2017-18 and reaffirmation in 2023-24. In recent years much of his focus has been on developing agile and innovative approaches to academic leadership, including developing and implementing LAPU’s first Competency-based Education program, a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology.
