Competency-Based Education 101 - Innovative Online Models in Practice
Description
Two institutions, Los Angeles Pacific University and the University of Massachusetts Global, will share their journey in developing and launching online competency-based (CBE) programs. This presentation aims to provide a brief overview of what CBE is, why institutions may want to consider developing CBE programs, and practical guidance regarding developing and implementing innovative CBE programs. This session will walk through two different approaches to CBE, including the impact on the learner experience and faculty roles. This engaging presentation will provide opportunities for the audience to share ideas and experiences, ask questions and explore strategies for building quality CBE programs.
