                                        Description
AI literacy is becoming a crucial skill. Yet, as students, we find a lack of space to discuss and validate our own best practices, while some peers actively shun the technology, stunting our learning and professional prospects. The ideal place to meet this gap is in the classroom, yet we find many educators equally lack the AI literacy and institutional resources to effectively teach the skill. This workshop examines the problem of AI illiteracy from the student perspective and presents a collaborative model for teaching AI literacy in the classroom, developed through events we have hosted in eight countries, which emphasizes learning from experience, putting agency in the hands of students, and minimizes effort on teachers.
