Persistent equity gaps in student outcomes reveal that not all students experience education equitably. This workshop focuses on faculty learning and development as critical drivers for reducing these gaps. We will explore how institutions can support faculty through communities of practice, syllabus audits, culturally responsive pedagogy, and methods for creating psychologically safe learning environments. Participants will learn how to assess and improve student success by examining equity data, engaging in reflective teaching practices, and applying culturally sustaining approaches. The session will also share insights from faculty surveys and interviews, highlighting the challenges and growth opportunities in adapting equitable teaching strategies.
