David Goldberg is an associate professor of management information systems at San Diego State University and AI Faculty Fellow with SDSU’s Instructional Technology Services unit. He received his doctoral and bachelor’s degrees from Virginia Tech. His current research interests are in the areas of text mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, decision support systems, and expert systems. His recent research has applied text mining to product quality and safety, using online reviews to identify and flag unsafe or defective products.
