Building Faculty Engagement through Motivation and Confidence
Description

It is important for faculty to stay energized and excited about each class they teach.  Student concerns may change from course to course, but faculty should remain constant in their demeanor and approach when working with students.  However, faculty must be flexible in how they deliver course content based upon student learning styles, and regarding diversity, equity and inclusion factors.  This workshop will discuss how to promote faculty engagement to build motivation and confidence.  This in turn will help build performance strategies that faculty can use for student success.  This is intended to invest in faculty development so that they are more productive in the classroom.  It is necessary for faculty to truly understand their students and how they can better interact with them throughout a given term/semester.  Appropriate expectations are helpful for faculty to remain engaged and maintain overall morale and well-being.  Overall, this will help faculty remain committed and dedicated to the student experience.
