Change Catalyst: Using the Loss and Momentum Framework to Drive Data-Informed Student Success Efforts
Description
To better understand student motivators and obstacles, a multi-phased data collection approach was implemented using the Loss & Momentum Framework (LMF). Institutional data and evidence were gathered, analyzed, and shared with college stakeholders by degree level and stage of LMF. A series of LMF workshops to collect additional qualitative data were held with faculty, staff, and students to better understand their perceptions of loss and motivation points for each stage of the LMF within their college and programs. Workshop outputs were aggregated and shared with college stakeholders to inform strategic planning related to student success efforts. Presented below are the phases of data collection, findings, and next steps underway.
