Dr. Bauer is an educator who believes in the value of learning and the intersection of ethical leadership, sustainable solutions, and social change. To be able to engage in educating the everyday leader of each student, she fiercely protects the quality of the curriculum, student and faculty experience, and the resources of the institution. In this quest of educating, she has held a variety of academic administrative positions, and taught onground and online for over 20 years in the areas of communication, leadership, critical thinking, conflict resolution, research, marketing, sociology, and behavioral science. Dr. Bauer has developed faculty mentoring programs, teaching & learning centers, student success initiatives, and revised created numerous programs. She has been recognized with 15 awards, including Outstanding Faculty, Outstanding Public Service, Excellence in Curriculum Development and Classroom Innovation, Excellence in Mentorship, and other University service and committee awards. Beyond academia, Dr. Bauer’s professional background is as a business consultant specializing in strategy and vision, corporate development and communication, public relations, marketing, and employee development. She has presented at professional and academic conferences on 23 different topics and has co-edited two published texts entitled Enriching Collaboration and Communication in Online Learning Communities and Building Online Communities in Higher Education Institutions: Creating Collaborative Experience.
