Loraine Devos-Comby, Ph.D. is a social scientist with extensive training and experience in research methods in the fields of social psychology, health behaviors, and education. She is the Director of Institutional Effectiveness & Learning at Pacifica Graduate Institute, a private institution that offers in-person and hybrid, master and doctoral programs in Depth Psychology. In that role, she provides the vision and leadership for all assessment activities related to strategic planning, institutional development, academic programs, teaching, and learning. Dr. Devos-Comby fosters an institutional culture dedicated to ongoing planning, decision-making, and self-study based on research and data. She engages in best practices of data collection and analysis that result in practical and actionable findings. In coordination with the WSCUC Accreditation Liaison Officer and the Office of Academic Affairs, Dr. Devos-Comby participates in all accreditation efforts. She also leads external reporting for state compliance. Prior to joining Pacifica Graduate Institute, Dr. Devos-Comby worked at a large global campus, where she led all institutional assessment activities for over nine years.
