DEI efforts must be intentional and integrated if they are to be effective and reach scale. Institutions often collect yet fail to consistently use data to inform action. California State University, Dominguez Hills’ integrated assessment of its first-year experience programs models an approach to synthesizing disparately collected data and engaging partners in the process to inform planning. We will share our process, our aggregated belonging and “DEI data story,” and the action plan it informs.
