Translating the Early-Course Experiences of Students with No Transfer Credits into Data-Informed Actions
Description

Early course completion was a challenge at one predominantly online university, especially for students with zero transfer credits. These students were surveyed and interviewed about their experiences to inform potential interventions addressing this disparity. Several themes emerged, including but not limited to degree of preparation for courses, time management, scheduling struggles, professors’ level of engagement and responsiveness, use of university supports, financial issues, and life factors. Interventions resulting from these findings will be discussed.
