Karen Téllez-Chaires is an Associate Professor of English & Modern Languages at Cal Poly Pomona, where she serves as Chair of the University Writing Committee and Writing in the Disciplines Coordinator. Her work focuses on rhetoric and composition, literacy studies, and interdisciplinary pedagogies that bridge technical, scientific, and cultural ways of knowing. She collaborates closely with faculty across the disciplines to design writing-rich curricula that support student learning, communication, and professional preparation. Her recent scholarship explores multimodal rhetoric, digital composing, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies in higher education. She is co-editor of the forthcoming collection Remixing the Archive: Sonic Rhetorics and Resistance Across Time and Signal. At WSCUC, she is excited to contribute a humanities-informed perspective to conversations about learning, innovation, and institutional transformation.
