Richard H. Hart, MD, DrPH, serves as President of Loma Linda University Health, guiding a system that integrates education, healthcare, research, and global service under the unified “One Loma Linda” vision. A distinguished physician and public health leader, Dr. Hart has dedicated his career to advancing whole-person care and faith-based education that embodies Loma Linda University’s mission of “continuing the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.”
Throughout his tenure, Dr. Hart has championed institutional initiatives that align strategic planning, operational effectiveness, and mission-focused learning across the eight schools of the university and its clinical enterprises. His leadership was instrumental in shaping the Vision 2020 campaign, which strengthened the academic health sciences infrastructure and expanded LLUH’s reach through the completion of new hospitals, community health programs, and global partnerships.
