Dr. Julie Chisholm, joins SJSU in July 2025, bringing two decades of experience in California public higher education at Cal Poly Maritime Academy. Dr. Chisholm holds a Ph.D. in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Houston, along with a BA from St. Mary’s College of California, and a MA from UC Davis, both in English Literature. She is passionate about international education and has led six study abroad trips to Asia and Europe. As Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education, Dr. Chisholm handles undergraduate petitions, helps oversee the General Education program, and serves on a number of committees supporting student success.
