Bio
Dr. Huston Pullen is a higher education leader, entrepreneur, and interdisciplinary educator with a distinguished background in academic innovation, international entrepreneurship, and public sector leadership. He currently serves as Chair of Innovation and Program Development at Westcliff University, where he leads AI-integrated program design, generative assessment initiatives, and global academic partnerships spanning three continents.
Dr. Pullen has held faculty and leadership roles at more than a dozen institutions, including the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Purdue University Fort Wayne, and California Lutheran University. His expertise spans course development, online learning design, and strategic curriculum innovation across business, management, marketing, and communication disciplines. He has led multiple grant-funded initiatives supporting student learning outcomes, economic development, and AI-enhanced assessment tools.
He holds a Doctor of Business Administration in International Management and Entrepreneurship from Florida International University, as well as graduate degrees in strategic marketing, crisis communication, and music conducting. He is currently completing an executive certificate in Leadership for the AI Age from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dr. Pullen’s work is rooted in advancing access, innovation, and measurable outcomes in education and economic development. He brings a collaborative leadership style informed by his previous roles with the U.S. Department of Energy, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and municipal government. His current research explores the intersection of AI, entrepreneurship, and workforce transformation in global contexts.
