Alamdar Hussain is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy at the American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) School of Pharmacy in Signal Hill, CA. He received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Amarillo, TX. He obtained a B.S. in Pharmacy from Kakatiya University, India. 

Prior to joining AUHS, Alamdar was an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisiana and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He teaches diverse disciplines in Pharmacy, Nursing and General Education programs. He received six ‘Teaching Professor of the Year’ awards throughout his career and was inducted into Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy leadership society.

Regarding his leadership experience, Dr. Hussain is a former Chair of the Department of General Education at AUHS, served as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Admission, and chairs various standing committees such as the curriculum. He has active interests in programmatic and institutional assessment, curricular design, and accreditation.
