In recent years, a number of colleges and universities have merged with one another while others are considering this possibility in this future. This symposium provides an account of the opportunities and challenges involved in the merging of colleges and universities writ large, focusing on the integration of California State University Maritime Academy and California State Polytechnic University as a case study for other universities considering something similar.
