This symposium explores how universities can create a strategic framework to document university-wide retention efforts and processes while using institutional data to inform decision-making.  The framework includes strategies for providing proactive student support, early student intervention, satisfactory academic progress advising, leave of absence advising, withdrawal advising, re-entry advising, and new student melt analysis.  The session will highlight how universities can collaborate across departments to leverage stakeholder expertise to develop a unified approach to graduate student retention.
