Fraudulent Communications Targeting ARC2026 Attendees

As a potential attendee or sponsor you may receive fraudulent emails or phone calls from third parties offering to sell you services or information relating to ARC2026. These are not authorized and are often attempts to collect money, personal information, or contact lists.

These messages may appear professional and may use real conference details, ARC branding, or staff-sounding names. The two most common topics are:

  • Attendee List Sales
Emails offering to sell “ARC2026 attendee lists” or marketing contacts. ARC does not sell or share attendee contact lists.

  • Hotel or Travel Booking Solicitations
Unofficial companies claiming they can secure accommodations for ARC2026. ARC does not authorize outside travel agents to contact attendees directly via email or phone. Please only make hotel bookings using the link above.

These messages are increasingly common, with the profile “Emma Pearson” targeting attendees at a number of different conferences in recent years. If you receive a third-party message, please:

  • Do not reply, click any links, or share any personal information
  • Follow your organization’s policy for reporting SPAM. You are also welcome to forward it to us so we can keep this information up to date.
  • If you are unsure whether an email is legitimate, contact us

Some scammers may try to impersonate WSCUC staff or use our logo. Please remember that official communications will be sent via our events@wscuc.org email. A list of official staff contacts is available on our website. For sponsors, we partner with Christine Fletcher at Encore Event Management. If you receive anything outside of this domain, please consider it suspicious unless stated otherwise in a WSCUC exhibitor newsletter or on this conference website.
