Dr. Rui Sun is a Professor of Public Administration, the Director of the School of Public Service and Justice, and the Faculty Director of Assessment in Academic Affairs at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Her recent work highlights the importance of addressing digital barriers faced by underserved college students and exploring the use of AI to enhance experiential learning and critical thinking. Dr. Sun holds leadership roles in professional organizations, including serving as President of the Southern California Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) and as a member of the Student Engagement Committee of the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO). She earned her Ph.D. in Policy Studies from the University of Maryland.
