Michelle L. Mayo, Ph.D. serves as the Associate Provost for Student Success and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Cal State Monterey Bay. Her primary responsibilities include oversight of the design and implementation of student success strategies to successfully meet statewide metrics. In addition, she leads University College which includes the Center of Academic Advising and Student Success, the Center of Experiential Learning and Innovation and the Cooperative Learning Center. Dr. Mayo earned her B.A. in Political Science and M.A. in Education from Truman State University. She completed her Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership Studies with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University-Bloomington. Dr. Mayo’s research and work centers on making higher education accessible to underserved populations.
