Rebeca Navarrete serves as Assistant Director of the First Year Seminar. She conducts program evaluation through qualitative analysis of student and instructor feedback to inform instructional design, campus partnerships, and instructor training and development. A double alumna from SDSU, Rebeca earned her BA in Spanish (2020) and MA in Communication (2024). Her research explores intersections of communication, culture, and identity, focusing on Latinx experiences in educational settings. Dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments, Rebeca explores how inclusive communication practices within organizations promote a sense of belonging, retention, and academic, personal, and professional growth through reciprocal relationships between Latinx students and faculty at Hispanic-Serving Institutions.
