Bio
Anthony has been part of the UCLA program since he started as Teaching Assistant in the program in 2001. He is currently the Director of the program and has been working to expand the program and enhance its already stellar record of pedagogical impact on first-year students at UCLA. He also teaches and runs one of the courses in the program, "Evolution of the Cosmos and Life". In addition, he is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Integrative Biology & Physiology where he runs their human cadaver lab. His research is in mammalian paleontology and he has done field work worldwide including the US, Kenya and Pakistan. He has won a number of teaching awards, including the campuswide, Distinguished Teaching Award twice, both as a TA and as a faculty member.
