Kayla McCormack currently serves as the Communications Manager for the Division of Undergraduate Education (UCLA College of Letters and Sciences). Prior to that she managed communications for Safe Place for Youth, a nonprofit based in Venice, CA that supports unhoused youth ages 12-25. She has worked in the for-profit space in industries including financial tech, food, and film. Previously, she worked as a writer and editor at SoFi, responsible for developing SEO-optimized articles about personal finance and student loans. Kayla earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism and politics from Ithaca College and an M.S. in food science from Chapman University.
