Like many institutions, California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) understands and strives to effectively engage faculty in program assessment, particularly General Education (GE) assessment, due to its multidisciplinary nature. In this presentation, we will discuss a promising and motivating approach to address this issue in the context of assessing GE learning goals on diversity and equity. We will explore our challenges, suggestions, and how this solution enabled us to assess student learning in GE while fostering faculty collaboration and professional development.
