Joanne Mitchell serves as Associate Provost and Accreditation Liaison Officer at Otis College of Art and Design, where she oversees institutional assessment and accreditation reporting, academic policy, advising and registration processes, and student success initiatives. Her work supports data-informed decision-making and strategic resource planning across the student enrollment life cycle.
Joanne holds a B.A. in Economics and Government from Wesleyan University, an M.P.P.M. from Yale University, and an M.F.A. from CalArts. Since joining Otis in 2010, she has served in academic and administrative leadership roles including Assistant Chair and Associate Professor in the Foundation Program. Her creative work has been exhibited at the Tsai Performing Arts Center, The Graduate Center–CUNY, SOMArts, and the LGBT Historical Museum, among others.
