Julie Sedlemeyer is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in higher education and career development. Prior to her current role she served as the Executive Director of the Career & Professional Development Center at Stanislaus State, having joined the campus in 2017. Additionally, Julie leads the CareerReadyU initiative, serves as the principal investigator for the Grow with Google HSI grant, and is principal investigator on the K-16 Sierra grant and project director for the Title III Return with Equity grant. Julie also serves on the Executive Board for the California Association of Post-Secondary Education and Disabilities and is a founding member of the HSI Career Collaborative.
Prior to joining Stanislaus State, Julie served as Associate Director at San José State University. During her 18-year career on the San José State campus, Julie oversaw the Career Centers Student Services and the Workability IV Program, a pre-employment collaborative with California Department of Rehabilitation for SJSU students and alumni with disabilities.
Julie earned a bachelor of science degree in Psychology from Kansas State University and a master of science degree in eLearning from CSU East Bay. She was the first in her family to receive a college degree and is passionate about being able to serve first-generation college students.
