Dr. Michael-Brian Ogawa has been a faculty member in the UHM Department of Information and Computer Sciences for 15 years. He is the director of the University of Hawaii Instructional Design and Educational Assessment (UH IDEA) Lab where his research focuses largely on information and computer science education, augmented cognition, and information ethics. Dr. Ogawa’s current research endeavors include generative AI information literacy, peer mentoring, computational thinking, and educational assessment. He has served as an assessment leadership fellow on campus for three years and continues to increase his responsibilities to lead program assessment on campus.
