Robert (Bob) Goodman is NJCTL’s executive director. NJCTL was formed by NJ’s largest teachers’ union in 2007 to help improve the effectiveness and lower the stress on K12 teachers. As the 2006 NJ State Teacher of the Year, Bob was asked to be one of its five founding board members. Later, he became its director and then executive director. NJCTL’s graduate courses and programs have been entirely online, asynchronous, and self-paced in the U.S. since 2017 and in Africa since 2022. Bob earned his BS Physics from MIT, MAT Physics from SUNY Stony Brook, and Ed.D. Science Education from Rutgers. Bob was formerly the President and Chief Executive Officer for a number of corporations including Harman Kardon, JBL Consumer Products and Onkyo International Operations.
