Dr. Elisa (EJ) Sobo, professor of anthropology and Director of Undergraduate Research in the College of Arts and Letters at San Diego State University (SDSU), is an AI Faculty Fellow with SDSU’s Instructional Technology Services unit. She has worked in the area of educational innovation, including in regard to salutogenic pedagogy and alternative approaches to teaching and learning, for over 10 years and has three decades of experience in the field of medical anthropology. Sobo’s work has been covered by the New York Times, LA Times, and NPR.
