Bio
Jen DeMay practices in the area of education law. Having spent over 20 years in education-related companies in in-house legal and regulatory roles, she has an institutional perspective on the needs of admissions, student accounting, financial aid and student services and the intersection of risk and compliance with operations.
Jen has considerable experience advising on corporate governance, compliance with federal financial aid requirements, Title IX (sexual harassment) investigations and training as well as ADA compliance. She has worked with all 50 states on state licensing requirements and engaged in the accreditation process with numerous institutional and programmatic accrediting agencies. Jen is a certified Compliance and Ethics Professional and provides guidance on the development and implementation of compliance programs.
During her career, she has supported institutional growth and development initiatives through new campus branching, workforce development partnerships and acquisitions. While in-house, Jen supported a number of educational acquisitions and divestitures with a focus on due diligence and the regulatory approval process as well as the transitional services which follow for successful integration.
Jen is a 1998 graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
