Building an Annual Assessment Summit to Build a Culture of Assessment
Description
Building a culture of assessment with faculty has been challenging for many universities. This presentation will provide a how-to guide on developing an annual assessment summit. It will provide ideas about assessment content for the summit as well as using the annual summit to steadily increase faculty buy-in, inform faculty of any assessment updates, and discuss student learning outcome (SLO) assessment issues that faculty may face in their courses (e.g., AI and Chatbots). By building a culture of assessment for faculty, the summit would promote increased engagement of faculty to collect SLOs for accreditation and academic program improvement.
