Sean Gil holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Fullerton. Prior to his current role as Director of the Career Center at UC Riverside, he served as the Associate Director of the Career Center at Cal State Fullerton. At UC Riverside, he leads the Career Center in its mission to connect, inspire, and empower UC Riverside students and alumni to become the most career-ready applicants in the global workforce through the development of campus-wide scalable initiatives that engage students in career readiness and assess student career outcomes for program change and improvement.  Sean also serves as leader of UCR’s Career Readiness Assessment Team (CREATE), advisory member of the UCR Carnegie Community Engagement workgroup, and a committee member of the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, Business Education Partnership council. In these capacities he works with campus stakeholders invested in student success, faculty & staff, students, community leaders, and employers to develop higher paying job opportunities in the community that require at least a 4 year college degree. He is motivated by his desire to develop strategies that help all first generation, low income, and diverse students at UC Riverside achieve their goals of better jobs and economic mobility.
