Bio
Rosalind Meno Ram, also known as Rose, is a Chamorro from Guam who incorporates her indigenous upbringing in her work in higher ed. Currently, she is the Associate AVP over curriculum, assessment and accreditation. A role that she has been in for the past 10 years. While in this role, she, along with colleagues from other areas of the university, organized the data governance group for the university. Her efforts in data governance has helped to ensure integrity in the acquisition and use of student data. Prior to being an administrator, Rose was a library faculty member who cataloged rare publications from Oceania and Hawaii. Her academic home is Pacific Island Studies but has also taught courses in Anthropology and Communication. The past ten years has taught Rose to appreciate and value the training of faculty in all areas especially assessment and curriculum development. Her introduction to the accreditation and assessment involved submitting two substantive change proposals, running a special visit, writing an interim report and running nine program reviews all within a two year time period. Her self-care involves walks with her husband and playing with her five grandchildren.
