Gerry Young is currently the Dashboard Data Scientist for the Student Success division at California State University, Office of the Chancellor. He is a member of the Student Success Data Team and is responsible for updating the Student Success Dashboard and the Course Equity Portal. Prior to coming to the CSU Office of the Chancellor, he worked as a research programmer for the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Economics where he collaborated with the LA Homeless Service Authority to produce estimates of the homeless population in LA County. He received his Master’s Degree in Data Science – Analytics and Modeling from Northwestern University, and his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Statistics from UC Riverside.
