Dan Shapiro is a professor at California State University, Monterey Bay where he has served in many roles, including lecturer (contingent), tenure-line faculty, Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, Interim Dean of University College and Associate Vice President for Academic Programs, and Interim Associate Vice president for Academic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. He is a graduate of the WSCUC Assessment Leadership Academy (ALA, Cohort VII), coordinated the ALA project mentoring program from 2017-2020, and recently co-authored Advancing Assessment for Student Success (2021, Stylus Press).
