Presentation 1 Title
Really Small Schools & (Big) Self-Studies
Presentation 1 Description

To prepare for the WSCUC reaffirmation of accreditation, institutions of all sizes must strategically prepare for the self-study review process. For smaller institutions, this process can be daunting, as it means incorporating the process into the many hats most administrators already wear, while coordinating how and when the writing and exhibits get collected/completed. Learn how American Jewish University (AJU), a small non-profit institute planned and wrote their self-study for their 2023 reaffirmation of accreditation.

Presentation 1 Speaker(s)

Danielle Sassman, Senior Director of Assessment, Institutional Research, and Registrar Services, American Jewish University
Robbie Totten, Vice President of Academic Affairs/ ALO, American Jewish University
Emmett Shoemaker, Coordinator of Academic Affairs & Registrar Services, American Jewish University

Presentation 2 Title
Developing an Administrative Unit Assessment and Review Process at CSU Bakersfield
Presentation 2 Description

Although continuous improvement processes are well-established for academic areas, many institutions lack well-established processes for non-academic areas. To address the need for quality-assurance processes in non-academic areas as specified in CFR 4.1, CSU Bakersfield developed an administrative unit assessment and review process modeled after its academic program assessment and review process. Session attendees will learn how to successfully undertake a similar effort at their own institutions.

Presentation 2 Speaker(s)

Debra Jackson, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of Academic Programs, CSU Bakersfield
Markel Quarles, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Student Services, CSU Bakersfield
