Reach University offers a sequence of integrated 15-credit “single subject semesters” in its undergraduate program. Think: a single-subject semester of math, then social science, then lab sciences. Adapted from the course sequencing model often used online graduate degree programs, Reach is increasing opportunities for deep interaction with theory and course content, decreasing the likelihood of cognitive overload, and increasing completion and persistence, thereby reducing inequities in traditional approaches and enhancing a deeper learning experience.

Student services in institutions are usually provided through different areas, creating gaps in collaboration and communication between these areas. This situation generates either low service levels and reprocesses to institutions and/or discomfort and dissatisfaction to students. To improve student experience, UDLA has implemented a mentoring program that serves as a consistent single point of contact for students to raise academic and wellbeing issues as well as provide access to support services throughout their studies.
