Do Grades Make the Grade?
Description

What role does traditional grading play in higher education? In this session, participants will consider how to shift faculty and student perception of grades to emphasize deep and meaningful learning. This session will explore practices, questions, and scholarship of equitable grading practices. Using a roundtable discussion format to stimulate dialogue, participants will identify the factors and obstacles that exist at their institutions that hinder equitable grading practices and will gain strategies to engage them.
